Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to this website and to the quotes and concreting work we provide, including what is and is not covered by our workmanship warranty.

These terms set out how we quote, schedule and warrant concreting work, and what concrete does as a material. Read them alongside your written quote — if the two conflict, the quote wins.

These terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to quotes and work provided by Sunshine Coast Concrete Services, a division of Creative Concrete Constructions. Where we give you a separate written quote or contract for your job, that document prevails over anything on this website if the two conflict.

Website content

We try to keep this website accurate and current, but the information on it is general in nature and provided for guidance only. Product, colour and pattern images are indicative: screens vary, and concrete colour varies with batch, curing conditions and site. Always confirm colours and patterns against physical samples before deciding.

Nothing on this website is an offer or a fixed price.

Quotes and pricing

Quotes are free and provided without obligation. Quotes are based on the site as we observed it and the scope described, and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Prices assume reasonable access for trucks, pumps and crew. If site conditions differ from what was visible or disclosed — rock, fill, services, drainage, unstable ground, restricted access — we will inform you and provide a variation before proceeding.

Scope, variations and approvals

The scope of works is what is written in your quote. Anything outside it is a variation and will be priced and agreed before it is carried out, in writing where practical.

You are responsible for obtaining any approvals, permits or body corporate consents needed, and for telling us the location of services, irrigation, wiring and plumbing on the property, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your quote or invoice. A deposit may be required to schedule work and order materials. Final payment is due on the terms stated on the invoice. We may charge interest or recovery costs on overdue amounts.

Scheduling and weather

Concreting is weather dependent. We may need to reschedule a pour for rain, extreme heat or site conditions, and we will give you as much notice as we can. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, supply shortages, or matters outside our reasonable control.

The nature of concrete

Concrete is a natural, site-mixed material and has characteristics that are not defects. These include shrinkage and hairline cracking, minor colour and shade variation between batches and across a surface, efflorescence (a white mineral bloom), trowel and finishing marks, and variation in the appearance of decorative and stencilled finishes.

We place control joints, reinforce and prepare the base to industry practice to manage movement, but cracking cannot be eliminated. Concrete continues to cure and lighten for weeks after the pour.

Workmanship and warranty

We warrant our workmanship as required by Queensland law and by the terms of your quote. Manufacturer warranties on sealers, coatings and colour products apply in accordance with those manufacturers’ terms.

Our warranty does not cover damage from misuse, vehicle loads beyond the design of the slab, ground movement, tree roots, drainage or plumbing failures, chemical or high-pressure cleaning damage, or failure to maintain and re-seal decorative finishes as advised.

Care after we leave

You are responsible for following the curing and care instructions we give you — keeping traffic off the slab for the times specified, and re-sealing decorative finishes on the recommended schedule. Damage caused by using the surface too early is not covered.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, our liability is limited to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of having them re-supplied.

Cancellation

If you cancel after work has been scheduled, you may be liable for materials ordered, plant booked and work already carried out. If we need to cancel, we will refund any deposit for work not performed.

Intellectual property

The text, photographs, layout and design of this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. Project photographs show our own completed work.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
