Who we are

Sunshine Coast Concrete Services is the Sunshine Coast division of Creative Concrete Constructions, owned by Nathan Carter, who has more than 20 years’ experience in concreting. Creative Concrete Constructions serves Brisbane and South East Queensland customers through its own website and team. Sunshine Coast Concrete Services has its own Sunshine Coast crew and works only on the Coast, from Beerwah and Caloundra to Noosa and the hinterland.

We are fully licensed and insured. Licence details and certificates of currency are provided with every quote, or on request before work starts.

What we do

We pour and finish concrete for homeowners and builders: driveways, house slabs, shed and garage slabs, pathways, pool surrounds and outdoor entertaining areas. We also resurface existing concrete decoratively rather than replacing it, which is often the better-value option when a slab is structurally sound.

Finishes available are plain grey, oxide-coloured, exposed aggregate and stencil, with 23 stencil patterns and stamped profiles on new pours. Every finish can be specified with a non-slip additive in the sealer where the surface will get wet.

How we work

Every job starts with a free on-site quote. We measure up, look at access for trucks and pumps, check what the existing ground or slab is doing, and confirm the finish against physical colour and pattern samples before anything is priced. The quote is written, itemised and valid for 30 days.

On site, the base is excavated and compacted, formwork is set to the lines we agreed, reinforcement is sized to the load the slab will carry, and control joints are cut where the slab needs to move. That sequence is the difference between a slab that ages well and one that does not — it is not the part you can see, which is exactly why it matters.

The crew that quotes your job is the crew that pours it. We clean up as we go, and we leave you with written curing times and a care and re-seal schedule for the finish you chose.

What we tell people up front

Concrete is a natural material and it behaves like one. It shrinks as it cures, which is why control joints exist. Fine hairline cracking, minor shade variation between batches, trowel marks and efflorescence are characteristics of concrete rather than defects. Good preparation keeps them minor and predictable; nothing eliminates them.

We would rather explain that at the quote than have it be a surprise three weeks after the pour. If a job is not worth doing the way you are picturing it, we will say so.

Where we work

We cover 103 suburbs across the Sunshine Coast — from Beerwah and Caloundra in the south, through the coastal strip, Buderim and Nambour, up to Noosa, and back into the hinterland range including Maleny and Mapleton. See the full service area list.
